I am very excited to launch this diary, which I will publish once a month. Through it, I will tell you about how I am moving forward with the Catalina and Sofia series, as well as other news.

I enjoy writing this series. I often laugh out loud, sitting at my computer. I have worked in different places and countries during my life, and in none of them have I been able to use my imagination as I do now. It is something I have always missed. Another source of inspiration is that I really like children. I think they are intelligent, logical, creative, and very open and natural. They have beautiful energy and help me connect with that part of myself that I never want to lose. I hope that these books full of magic and fantasy will allow you to dream and inspire you to do whatever makes you happy when you grow up!

Some of you have suggested that I write about Catalina and Sofia in Paracas and the Ballestas Islands in Peru. I want to tell you that I am already doing so with the fourth book. The third book, “Catalina and Sofia: Guardian Apprentices,” will come out this year. Tilsa Crousse is currently finishing the illustrations, and you will have seen how beautifully she draws! I will let you know in my next diary how we are progressing.
